So whats next for MechanicDesk?

With the new year finally here, The MechanicDesk team wishes you and your family a year ahead full of happiness and success. We have big plans for 2018 and here are some of the updates you can expect from us.

New ways to receive payments

This year, we will be implementing new ways for you to take payments from your customers, starting off with integrations for Payment Express, Laybuy and Afterpay.

Payment Express offers a range of secure end to end platforms for e-commerce, retail and unattended that facilitate seamless payments in real time. Laybuy and Afterpay provide solutions for your customers to pay their invoices in instalments while you receive the payments in full - that is once the customer has been approved by Laybuy and/or Afterpay.

Later in the year, we will also be looking at integrations with Paypal and Stripe. For more information about these solutions, please follow the links below.

Sell online with Shopify

Do you sell parts in-store? Why not go online! In the later quarters of 2018, we will be implementing an integration with Shopify. Shopify makes selling online easier, faster and more scalable. Impress your customers with a beautiful webstore to boot!

Further Improvements

We are in the processing of making improvements to the following existing functionalities in MechanicDesk:

Xero integration

We will be improving the diagnostic tool so that, instead of having to contact our support due to cryptic error messages, you can click a button and understand why a certain invoice or bill has not synced to Xero. We will also provide further error hints to help you fix any sync problems you might have.

Mobile App to support mobile mechanics

We will continue to add more functionalities to our mobile app such as Maps and more scheduling options.

Infrastructure updates and Optimizations

Throughout 2018, we will strive to improve MechanicDesk and the MechanicDesk App for faster and smoother performance, as well as increased ease of use.
